Love Island 2022 – Week 6

The aftermath of Casa Amor has been in full swing this week! We’ve seen old and new romances in full bloom, emotions have been on a rise and a special performance took place in the villa. Plus, not only did an islander decide to leave the show, but a former islander has also returned to the villa – and it’s fair to say that they’ve certainly ruffled some feathers.

Bombshells of the week

Only one new addition to the Love Island villa this week:
Adam Collard, 26, is a personal trainer from Newcastle. He was also the first bombshell on season 4 of Love Island in 2018!

The latest couples

  • Tasha and Andrew
  • Paige and Adam
  • Danica and Billy
  • Indiyah and Dami
  • Gemma and Luca
  • Summer and Josh
  • Ekin-Su and Davide
  • Coco and Deji

Who’s single?

Nobody!

Couples going steady

Despite having some time apart from each other, Tasha asked Andrew to be her boyfriend and they’re now the first official couple of the season. Speaking of having some time apart, Indiyah and Dami are now back together – they reconnected this week and confessed their feelings for each other. Plus, things are looking good for new couple, Danica and Billy.

Couples on the rocks

Fan-favourites, Ekin-Su and Davide, have had some heated arguments (again), and they seem to be having some trust issues since Casa Amor, so we’ll just have to keep watching to see if they survive…

Challenges

Whilst there haven’t been any challenges this week, much to viewers’ disliking, we’re hoping to see some exciting challenges and games soon. ‘Mad Movies’ is set to be making a return, which is where islanders are shown everything that went down in Casa Amor!

Recouplings

This week, it was the boys who decided who they wanted to recouple with. Bombshell Adam chose to couple up with Paige, and she was previously with Jacques. Tasha and Andrew are a couple again, after Tasha came back with Billy and Andrew came back with Coco after Casa Amor last week. This left Billy single, however he then recoupled with Danica. Indiyah and Dami have also recoupled and are back together, leaving their former short-term partners, Deji and Summer, single. Josh recoupled with newly single Summer, leaving Deji to recouple with Coco – he didn’t have much choice (awks).
We’ll have to keep watching to see how things go.

Who left the villa this week?

Jay and Chyna were dumped by their fellow islanders from the villa, after they were in the bottom two couples (along with Summer and Dami) following a public vote.
Jacques decided to leave the villa this week to focus on himself, and said he struggled to be himself in the camera-filled surroundings.

Best Bits

  • Tasha asked Andrew to be her boyfriend, making them the first official couple of this season.
  • Bombshell Adam went on dates with Paige, Summer and Danica on his first night. Danica, who is a dancer, was asked by Adam to show him a few moves, which was slightly awkward to watch.
  • Gemma and Luca went on their first date, and when they got back to the villa, Luca told Gemma he’s fallen for her and dropped the L-bomb. She responded with “you’re so cute” (yikes), but eventually reciprocated and said it back. Also slightly awkward to watch!
  • Indiyah and Dami dramatically ran to each other in the middle of the night for a goodnight kiss.
  • Becky Hill came into the villa to perform for the islanders.

What we think will happen next

We think that Ekin-Su and Davide might still be on the rocks, but only time will tell. Indiyah and Dami seem like they genuinely like each other, and even though Tasha and Andrew are the first official couple, will they keep going strong? And how will things work out for Gemma and Luca?
Plus – it’s been confirmed that ‘Mad Movies’ is back! Will this cause any rifts between any of the couples? We’ll have to keep watching to find out!
