Win a stash of Mecca Brew for you and a friend
You might not know, but today, 21st April, is National Tea Day in the UK – and we always think a good cuppa is the perfect reason to catch up with someone you care about.
We know from a survey we did with you all recently that your favourite brew is the classic English breakfast tea – and that to be just right, it doesn’t need any sugar and the milk definitely comes last!
So to celebrate National Tea Day, we’ve got 20 bundles of Mecca Brew up for grabs for you and a friend. All you’ve got to do is tell us below who you’d love to share a brew and a catch up with in the comments below.
Terms and Conditions can be found here (NB. 10 pairs of winners, 5 teabags each).
And if you’re wondering who to ask, here are our three top tea get-together suggestions.
- A garden brew. Now that we’re allowed to meet with people in our gardens and the weather is starting to get warmer, why not invite a friend (or 5) over for a cuppa and a chin wag. Roll out the biscuits and spend an afternoon catching up on lost time. The most important question is, what’s the best biscuit to dunk?!
- A virtual cuppa. If that someone special who you’ve been meaning to catch up with for ages isn’t local, then arrange a virtual chat. We’re all pretty done with Zoom quizzes but a good natter over a cup of tea with a good friend or family member that you haven’t seen for ages could be just the boost you need. We challenge you to get a virtual catch up in the diary this week – because it’s really good to keep in touch with people that you don’t see so often.
- Arrange a walking tea break. The evenings are longer and lighter now so why not arrange an early evening leg-stretch around the block, via your favourite takeaway cafe. You’ll be amazed how quickly the steps stack up when you’re having a good gossip and putting the world to rights – good for the soul and good exercise too so it’s win win with this option.
So whoever you’d catch up with over a cuppa and however you’d do it, tell us all about it below and you could be looking forward to a parcel of our very own Mecca Brew arriving through your letter box soon.
Charities including Mental Health First Aid England and MIND are big supporters of National Tea Day and the benefits of combating loneliness and isolation. If you are struggling, do get in touch with one of these or another relevant support service.
