On Saturday 25th June, Mecca Luton is hosting a comedy night! This will be the only comedy night in Luton with top TV comedians, so you don’t want to miss out. Join us after bingo from 9pm – midnight for a healthy dose of side-splitting comedy, from the comfort of our lovely club. Podcast host and international comedian, Dana Alexander, will be your MC for the evening.

Dane Baptiste

Our headline act is the mega talented, Dane Baptiste. The star of his own sitcom, Sunny D, Baptiste has also made appearances on Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week, 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Frankie Boyle’s New World Order and much more! He has also completed a nationwide solo tour AND a world tour! And if that wasn’t enough, he hosts his own very successful podcast, Dane Baptiste Questions Everything. Baptiste made comedy history in 2014 when he become the first Black British act to be nominated for a comedy award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival!


Simon Brodkin

Supporting Baptiste, we have writer and talented comedian, Simon Brodkin. Brodkin is best known for playing character Lee Nelson. He has appeared on Live at the Apollo, The John Bishop Show and Sunday Night at The Palladium. Brodkin is also the writer, star and creator of Lee Nelson’s Well Good show, Lee Nelson’s Well Funny People and Jason Brent’s World Cup’s Best Ever goals, Ever! Simon’s last Fringe show, 100% Simon Brodkin was completely sold-out and selected by The Guardian and Evening Standard as one of their Best Comedy Shows!


Glenn Moore

Joining the line-up is comedian and radio host, Glenn Moore. He has regularly appeared in Mock the Week and The Stand-Up Sketch show. Moore was previously nominated for the most prestigious comedy prize in the UK, the Edinburgh comedy award!
