Your weekly #GossipAlert round-up: Love Island Final

We have no idea how 8 weeks of Love Island has gone by so quickly, but what a ride it’s been! Season 7 had a bit of a slow start, but once it kicked off, we were not disappointed because boy did it come with DRAMA.

From rom-com inspired ‘exclusive’ proposals and shocking fire pit moments (like when Hugo defended Chloe’s honour after Toby left her feeling this small!), to one of the worst Casa Amor experiences we’ve ever seen (no one was loyal babe), a day-one/OG couple breaking up just days before the final, and a final four that each had a break at some point (Casa really did these islanders dirty) – this year was full of firsts, scandalous recouplings, saucy challenges and, of course, a new definition for NVQs.

Last night was the big Love Island final, where we saw one lucky couple walk away with £50k in tax-free cash! Here’s a recap of the winners and runners up:

Fourth Place: Kaz and Tyler

Kaz Kamwi, a 26-year-old fashion influencer from Essex, and Tyler, a 26-year-old estate agent from Croydon, came in fourth place after making their way back to each other after the catastrophe that was Casa Amor. After receiving the infamous postcard, Kaz decided to recouple with Matt and Tyler walked in with Clarisse. But it wasn’t long before the two found coupled up again and made it exclusive #KylerForever.

Third Place: Faye and Teddy

Faye Winter, a 26-year-old letting manger from Devon, and Teddy Soares, a 26-year-old senior financial consultant from Manchester, took third place in this season after a truly rollercoaster journey. Faye, an OG, who had coupled up many times before (and one after) found that her Love Island experience finally started when Teddy arrived. And despite an explosive row, the two got back together and have only become stronger. Their declarations of love were nothing but emotional!

Runners Up: Chloe and Toby

Chloe Burrows, a 25-year-old marketing executive from Bicester, and Toby Aromolaran, a 22-year-old footballer from Essex, otherwise known as Chloby came in second place. These two brought without a doubt the most laughs and meme-worthy moments to the Villa. After Toby had his head turned, not once but twice, he realised he’s heart was with Chloe and the couple became fan favourites. If they decide to do a reality show after this, we’ll definitely be watching!

2021 Winners: Liam and Millie

Liam Reardon, a 22-year-old bricklayer from Wales, and Millie “Moo” Court, a 24-year-old fashion buyer’s administrator from Essex, took top place in season 7 of Love Island – walking away with a whopping £50,000! When Liam had his head slightly turned by Lillie in Casa Amor, we thought Milliam was over. But after a cringy text, weird note in her bed, and a speech after Mabel left the stage, Liam won Millie back. The pair became exclusive at the Island Vibes Club, said their first ‘I love yous’ on their final date, and became boyfriend and girlfriend on live telly in front of Laura, all before being crowned this year’s winners – now that’s winning at love and in Love Island!

We can’t wait to see where the final four end up and for all the tea to be spilled at the reunion! Who do you think will cause the biggest scene? Which couple do you rate will last the longest? Let us know your thoughts on social media or drop a comment below. And we’re not done with #GossipAlert, we’ll be back here with more exciting news from our favourite celebs next week!
