MECCA BINGO HALLS ARE A SAFE SPACE FOR ALL
Ahead of reopening our clubs in England this May, we want to say that our bingo halls are a safe space for all.
We are now in our 60th year of being at the heart of local communities, and our teams across our 72 clubs want to share the message that anyone can walk into a Mecca Bingo hall* and know that it is a place where they can feel comfortable and secure as well as somewhere they will always find a friendly face.
Whether you are a customer already visiting your local club, or you are a passer by seeking help, at Mecca we have a special pledge to you:
Our first step is to provide somewhere quiet to sit for as long as needed. The next stage is to offer to make a call to a friend or family member, or in more serious situations, the emergency services. And third, is to help someone get home safely, assisting with making travel plans if needed.
So if you ever need a helping hand, please do ask a member of staff as we’re always happy to help.
* Mecca Bingo halls are licensed premises and should not be frequented by under 18s. However, in a moment of need/exceptional circumstances, Mecca clubs are accessible to all for support.

Will people need to book a table as you will still be social distancing. Lots of people will now be vaccinated so everyone will be back.

People didn’t always wear their masks or had them under the nose which stopped us from going before. What will the cost be to play as last time prices all went up which made it an expensive night out. I really enjoy going to bingo but all the above really spoilt it for us. Sorry to have a moan. Don’t think regulars should be allowed to save seats or tell holidaymakers where they can and can’t sit.one in particular at Mecca Scarborough making it very uncomfortable for strangers if they sit in a regulars seat and I on Principe refuse to move.its dig dig dig all night
That’s great that Mecca are doing this for people in the community. I – myself have a disability and a medical condition so I just want to say what a great idea you have come up with. Well done Mecca!!!
It’s the best friendly place to have a social time wether you win at bingo, it is where our family and friends can meet and enjoy the friendly atmosphere, please help.
We always feel safe when we go to our Mecca bingo hall in Rochdale all the staff and Managers are all fantastic with us all . Now can’t wait to get back there miss my bingo trips so much xx

I have come to Mecca bingo which was Top Rank before for 40 years. The staff have always been helpful . Even walking me to my car 🚗 round the back. I will be there when it opens. Can’t wait ❤️

I always feel safe at 2 clubs Iv been to in the past Oldham and Blackpool both clubs are always great staff are 1st class right from people at doors and booksales to the bar staff and callers all brilliant and also will say this if I see someone who needs help walk in club I will be 1st to put hand up if that’s ok to help them if no staff around.

Regarding the comment posted about Scarborough Mecca Bingo and people saving seats for others and dig dig dig if you dont move. We go to Scarborough usually 5 or 6 times a year a week at a time. We always go in the Mecca every night due to their being a shortage of other entertainments except for pubs . So we go in there and have been doing for over 10 years now. We find the staff great and the locals are always great to us whenever we go in the Mecca. So I dont understand the comments about the locals as in all our visits which must now be at least 400 visits. Cant see why this comment was posted. I am sure if that happened to somebody and they complained in house something would be dont as both the managers and staff are really nice people
