6 ways to keep it fun online

Our Mecca community is one big family and together we are here for each other – to chat, share stories and jokes and find the fun in every day.

Our games and chat rooms are busy and full of laughs, so we wanted to take a minute to share a guide to all things great within our Mecca world.

With so many of you online, it’s super important for us, and you, that we reiterate how to keep things fun. You know that we take responsible gaming very seriously here at Mecca, and we’ve got loads of amazing tools to not only keep you safe online, but connected with us should you need a chat.

The first thing to remember is that you don’t have to play. If you just fancy a chat, you can hang out, join the conversations in our chat rooms, read our brilliant blog or enjoy the fun, gossip and happenings over on Facebook or Instagram!

So, here are 6 big things we can do to help you out online:

Enjoy 15 minutes of fun
Like we said, we’re here for a little bit of fun! Come and hang out for a quick break – chat, catch up with friends old and new, and there’s always fun to be had with quick quizzes and games, conversations and more. You never know when our chat hosts or social media team might drop in a little surprise – regardless of whether you’re playing or not!

Deposit Limits
We want you to be able to keep your play within affordable levels , and an easy way to do this is with Deposit Limits.  We always suggest that you set a deposit limit that’s low enough to keep your play fun – that’s what Mecca is all about after all. To set your limit, head to your account preferences, then visit the ‘Responsible Gaming’ tab.

Updated Deposit Methods
From 27th March, we’re welcoming further regulations on deposits that will stop the use of credit cards when making payments. You can still use PayPal, debit cards, Visa Checkout and PaySafeCard. We’re in full support of these new changes.

Reality Checks
If you regularly find yourself chatting away with your fellow roomies and fancy a reminder of the time, you can opt in for ‘Reality Checks’. It’s a great way to keep an eye on your session time. You can set a reminder from 30 minutes, right up to 2 hours.

Take-a-Break
It’s good for us all to take a digital detox from time to time; and Take-a-Break gives you just that. Choose a short time period, from 24 hours to 6 weeks, and we’ll pause your account for you. Don’t worry, it’s only temporary and everything will be just as you left it after your break has finished.

Self-exclusion
Like Take-a-break, but just a bit longer. If you need to, you can pause your account for at least 6 months, right up to 5 years. This also means you’ll stop receiving any emails and messages from us. If you’d like to know more about self-exclusion, you can contact our customer services or have a read of the information available at GAMSTOP.

Let’s chat about it
Need a natter about any of the above? There are loads of ways to get in touch. Whatever it is, big or small, we are here to talk
