10 Ways to Treat Mum this Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is coming up on Sunday 19th March 2023, and we’ve got some great ideas for how you can spoil her on this special day!

And if you’re not able to spend the day with her, there’s still lots you can do to make it one to remember.

1. Spa Day

Who doesn’t love a bit of pampering? Why not take mum to a spa near you to enjoy some well-deserved downtime with a relaxing massage, luxurious mani and pedi or a rejuvenating facial.

2. Watch a movie together, from afar

If you’re not able to hang out with mum but still want to enjoy each other’s company then why not try this out – choose a movie, make sure to turn it on at the same time and enjoy. You can have each other on video or phone call while you watch so that you can still pass along comments about the movie.

3. High Tea

There’s something so sophisticated and even royal about enjoying a high tea at a stunning hotel. We’re already drooling over the delicious savoury bites and sweet treats just thinking about it!

4. Send a Gift

If you’re not able to be with your mum this Mother’s Day then why not use the power of the internet and send her flowers, chocolate or a specially curated basket of things she loves. There are loads of gifting companies to choose from too!

5. Shopping Trip

If retail therapy is right up both your alleys, then why not treat mum to a day out buying some of her favourite things – or maybe there’s something she’s had her eye on that you can get for her.

6. Watch a Live Show

There’s nothing like dressing up and seeing an amazing performance. Why not take your mum to the theatre, a concert or a comedy show. There are loads of ABBA tribute shows on at the minute!

7. Yoga

Why not spend the day moving your body and indulging in a good stretch with mum. Yoga is perfect for everyone – even if you can’t touch your toes, you’ll have a great time!

8. Virtual Wine Tasting

With easy video calling apps at your fingertips, there’s no reason you can’t spend time with your mum without sitting right next to her. If you both love wine, why not grab a couple of the same bottles and then taste each one on your call and discuss what you love or hate about it.

9. Craft and Create

Whether it’s pottery or painting, creating something with your bare hands is a wonderful experience – and even better that you can treasure that time with your mum forever.

10. A Walk in the Gardens

Fresh air, a lovely stroll and a slice of cake with tea to top it off sounds like a wonderful day celebrating mum. There’ll be plenty of time to catch up with each other too (you know she has all the latest goss!).
