This may be a slightly controversial choice, but matcha has been all the rage these last few years. It may not be for everyone, due to its distinctive taste and colour, but you can enjoy matcha in different flavours, including chocolate, spiced pumpkin, toffee apple and many more. And, with warm milk, and a sweetener such as sugar, syrup, or honey, you’re in for a real treat! If you haven’t already, give it a go this season.
Stay warm this season with a calming cinnamon tea. It’s easy to make – just simmer hot water and cinnamon sticks together for about 5 minutes – and you’re done! Feel free to add a teaspoon of sugar or honey if you prefer a sweeter taste.
If you like your hot drinks with a bit of a kick, then this is for you. Chai lattes typically don’t have caffeine – essentially, it’s a fusion of spices mixed with steamed milk and black tea. They’ve been a huge hit lately, and they’re available in pretty much all well-known coffee shops. You can also make them at home!
Lemon and Ginger Tea
Unwind with a soothing cup of lemon and ginger tea. Not only will the lemon feel refreshing, but ginger is a well-known remedy for colds and nausea. Combine the two ingredients and simmer them in boiling water for a delicious alternative to caffeinated drinks. You can also add honey just to sweeten things!
Pumpkin Spiced Latte
How could we not talk about pumpkin spiced lattes? They’ve been an absolute craze for quite some time now! As soon as September hits, we know that we’re in pumpkin spiced latte season. They’re made with steamed milk, espresso, a range of spices including cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and more, and pumpkin spice puree/syrup. They’re pretty much available everywhere right now!
