The Voice has taken our screens by storm this year with the best line up of judges yet. Will.I.Am has stolen our hearts with his crazy way of explaining things – and we absolutely love it. He’s charming, entertaining and honest and we think the show just wouldn’t work without him.
But this isn’t the Will.I.Am show. Without Kylie Minogue, Sir Tom Jones and Ricky Wilson, the show wouldn’t be the same. The relationship between the 4 judges totally makes The Voice UK 2014 a complete winner in our books.
We really love the musical part of the show but, let’s be honest, being the fifth judge is our favourite part. We love picking our favourites and cheering them on, even shouting at the TV when the judges don’t agree with us… or is that just me? We’re definitely super-fans of the show. We talk about it in our spare time and plan our lives around the next episode… that’s normal right?!
It’s still early days though. The initial blind auditions are complete, the teams have been filled and the head-to-head battles are about to start. Now, it’s getting serious – go big or go home and nobody wants to go home. But, the real question is… who do you think will win?
It’s a tough call at this stage, the mix of contestants is so high, but after the duels we should really have a much better idea.
Maybe this year the quirky underdog will make the grade and give us all the feeling that the good guy does win. Or maybe we’ll see a power house singer taking the crown – after all Sir Tom’s style has seen fans across the generations throw their knickers at him. It might be time to discover a brand new pop diva who’s not scared of a powerful note without tricks and flicks coming from every angle… but maybe not.
You can’t fight the classics; but we love all those other contestants that take us by surprise. You know anyone who breaks the mould, stands out and reminds you of why you love music so much in the first place. That’s what we’re after.
The next few weeks are going to be exciting as we find out who stays, who goes, and who we’re placing our bets on. Fingers on buzzers (well, phones) and get voting!
